Important information about your Advanced Licence
Since a new policy has been launched, FFA will extend the expiry date of all Advanced Licences to 2013. If your licence expires after 2013, your expiry will remain the same.
FFA Coach Education is in the process of sending out updated Coach ID Cards. You may not receive your new card until February next year. Please make sure your postal address is correct in the National Coaches Database. To check your personal details contact your State Football Federation.
Please note that if you have a Community Licence as well, e.g. Senior Licence, this expiry will also be extended to coincide with your Advanced Licence.
Renewing Coaching Accreditations
If you wish to renew a Community Accreditation (Grassroots, Junior, Youth, Youth-Goalkeeping, Senior or Senior Goal-Keeping Licence) please complete the ‘Renewal Form – Community Accreditation’ and lodge the form with Football Queensland.
If you wish to renew an Advanced Accreditation (AFC C, AFC B or AFC A Licence) please complete the ‘Renewal Form – Advanced Accreditation’ and lodge the form with Football Federation Australia.
Please note that if you possess and old Senior, State or National Licence which was converted to an AFC C, AFC B or AFC A Licence at the end of 2006, you will need to complete the Renewal form for Advanced accreditations and lodge your application with Football Federation Australia.
Re-Accreditation for Advanced Coaching Licences
The FFA Coach Education Department has reviewed it’s policy on re-accreditation for coaches on the Advanced Pathway (C, B, and A Licence).
From 2009 onwards, coaches wishing to renew their Advanced Accreditation need to have accumulated the required number of points over the four-year period of accreditation. For example, a coach whose Licence expires on 31/12/2010, needs to have gained the required re-accreditation points between 1/1/07 – 31/12/10.

Please note that all coaches whose licence expired on or before 31/12/09 have been given a one year extension to allow time for them to accumulate the required points. Their licence will now expire on 31/12/10.
Lapsed Accreditation
If you fail to re-accredit by the end of the four-year period, you would need to attend and pass the whole course again to regain accreditation. Alternatively, you may choose to maintain only your Community Senior Licence Accreditation.
Re-accreditation and Updating
Football Federation Australia and Australian Sports Commission accreditations are valid for a period of four (4) consecutive years. Coaches that have remained active at the appropriate level and have met the updating requirements specific to each Coaching Licence may apply to Football Queensland for renewal of their accreditation.
